The traceability tracking was implemented by Lot numbers. Along the entire journey of the products, there are three touchpoints where we had to apply a Lot number to products:

- A new raw materials come into the warehouse - a new Lot number has to be assigned to it;

- A new Intermediate product is produced - a new - Lot number has to be assigned to it;

- A new finished product is produced - a new Lot number has to be assigned to it;

That works the way that by looking at the Lot number for a finished product you can trace back to the intermediate product and raw materials of that intermediate product.

Not only that, but an automatic generation of Lot numbers at each given step was developed as well.

That was a challenging and exciting task for N-Development. Everyone is happy. We have something to write about. Our client can sit back on a chair with a cup of coffee and easily keep track of everything he wanned.
